Email supportFrequently asked questions
What audio can I play in LoopMuse?
Any audio file you own: MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A, FLAC, and other formats iOS supports. Load files from the Files app or pick songs from your Music library.
Can I loop songs from Apple Music or Spotify?
No. Streaming services use DRM protection that prevents other apps from accessing the audio. LoopMuse works with files you own or have downloaded as unprotected audio.
Why does a song from my Music library say it can't be opened?
Two common reasons: it's a DRM-protected track (for example, an Apple Music download), or it's stored in iCloud and not downloaded to the device. Try importing the file through the Files app instead.
How do I set a loop?
Play to the start of your section and tap Mark Start. Let it play to the end and tap Mark End; the loop begins immediately. Tap Clear to remove it.
Can I fine-tune the loop points?
Loop points are set live as the track plays, and you can re-mark as many times as you like. Finer nudge controls are on the roadmap.
Does the loop stay seamless?
Yes. LoopMuse loads your selected region into memory and loops it at the audio level, so there's no gap or hitch between repeats.
Can I scrub while looping?
Yes. Dragging the scrubber inside an active loop keeps the loop running.
Does it work with CarPlay?
Yes. LoopMuse appears on your CarPlay dashboard with Mark Start, Mark End, and Clear controls, and the car's Now Playing screen shows the current track and loop status. Keep interactions brief and your eyes on the road.
Does LoopMuse work on Mac and iPad?
Yes. LoopMuse runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (macOS 14 Sonoma or later). On Mac, you load tracks through a Finder window instead of the Music library picker. CarPlay requires an iPhone.
Will it keep playing when I lock my phone or switch apps?
Yes. LoopMuse supports background audio, so your loop continues uninterrupted.
Do my loops save between sessions?
Not yet. Loops are set per session; saved loop points are planned for a future update.
Is there an Android version?
No. LoopMuse is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and CarPlay.
